New Disabled toilet block
We are pleased to announce that work has started on our fully inclusive toilet block, thanks to the kind donation from "Friends of Dudsbury"
This is sitting behind the main house, and next to our outdoor toilets

New Booking System
We've made it easier for you to make your booking by introducing a new online booking system. The system allows you to view all our facilities so you can see if there is availability for your chosen date(s), and for booking our buildings and outdoor spaces, whether for a camp or holiday, or just for a shorter day visit, meeting, etc, you can make your booking request online. Whatever your booking, you will be able to access all the details via the system.

Ugly Bug Hotels
We have two new bug hotels on site - thanks to our Ugly Bug event, Saturday 25th March. 
Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Rangers took part in bug related activities.  Fun times by all

Opening of our new Outside Toilet Block
After lots of fund raising and donations, we were really excited to open our refurbished outside toilet block in September at our Community Open Day. 
Stagg Home Improvements did the amazing job of updating the toilets for us. 

We also have a posh outside basins, which can be used by campers or day visitors. 
Queens Platinum Jubilee
We were pleased to host a beacon lighting event for Girlguiding Dorset.
Girls came from all over the County to attend this special event. Lots of fun and laughter.  The rainbows had their own special lighting ceremony, small fire. 
90th Birthday Celebrations
We held our 90th Birthday celebrations on Sunday 2nd October. It was lovely to be able to open the site to local residents and our guiding family.  Please do come along and see our Big Art Exhibition. 
 Frosty Sparkler
Guide and Ranger Units from Dorset attended our first Frosty Sparkler overnight challenge camp. They completed many "frosty challenges" to compete for a trophy, and also had a frosty camp fire in our Round house.

Dudsbury was opened up for the local community to come and have a look around.

Bournemouth Guide Camp wins Heritage Lottery Fund support
Bournemouth Guides have received £32,300 from the Heritage Lottery Fund for an exciting project to investigate the 3000 year old hill fort called Dudsbury that their campsite is situated on at West Parley.

April 2017 Pirate Weekend
Pirate themed activity weekend for all sections.
Brownies came during the day on the Saturday. Guides arrived during the afternoon to put up their tents.  They stayed over night. The Rainbows came out Sunday morning with their parents for a picnic and games.

 April 2015 Dudsbury Bug Hotel
Back in April we invited Rainbows, Brownies and Guides to help us build a Bug Hotel for our on-site residents.  This is the result of the w/e.  
The weekend started off with the guides spending the night in a bivi bag, that is after they had, had some bug activities.  
The Brownies came Saturday, to build our Hotels.  Followed by the Rainbows for Bug Antic's on Sunday.

Geo- Cache & Orienteering Now available on Site
Available from the Wardens on site.
A small deposit is required for kit used for these activities  -
refundable when equipment returned in good condition. 


Dudsbury Challenge Now available.
Earn the Dudsbury Challenge badge while staying at Dudsbury.  Lots of things to keep you busy during your stay.
Ask the wardens for copy of the challenges.









​The Dudsbury key was returned to Dudsbury today (Tuesday 26th August 2014) by Major Fisher.
Major Fisher is the grandson of the Rosling family and the son of Dorothy Rosling to whom the House is a memorial. 
His grandmother was there when Olave Baden Powell opened the House in 1931 and he has a key to Dudsbury given to his grandmother by Lady BP, which he has now returned to Dudsbury.
