Friends of Dudsbury What is the Friends of Dudsbury? The Friends of Dudsbury are a group of people interested in the well-being of the Dudsbury.
Who are the Friends? The Friends consists of both present members of Girlguiding and those who have never been a member, active members and former members, people living both inside and outside Bournemouth area and are aged 18 to 118.
Why does the Friends of Dudsbury exist? Friends of Dudsbury were formed in 1973 by Mrs Colebeck - For like-minded leaders and former leaders to give Dudsbury the little (or big!) luxuries which could not perhaps be otherwise justified or afforded when managing such a large estate. How do they help Dudsbury? Friends help in several ways. They raise money for non-essential items, crockery, wash stands, camp shelters and flag pole to name a few.
When do the Friends meet? The Friends hold a variety of events throughout the year, including a Thinking Day lunch, a skittles evening, and Strawberry Tea. Friends are kept up to date by an annual newsletter and are also provided with information on up¬coming events as necessary.
